Inephany
Inephany optimises foundational AI models to cut the cost, time and energy required to train and deploy state-of-the-art AI systems.
About
Inephany is a London-based deep-tech start-up, founded in July 2024, that pioneers foundation models designed to automate and optimise how other AI systems are trained, tuned and deployed. Its real-time, AI-driven optimisation platform intelligently controls the training process, boosting sample efficiency, accelerating convergence and raising final model performance while slashing compute costs and energy use — an order-of-magnitude leap over traditional trial-and-error methods.
The company was founded by Dr John Torr (ex-Apple Siri), Hami Bahraynian and Maurice von Sturm (co-founders of conversational-AI start-up Wluper) and is chaired by AI pioneer Professor Steve Young. Together this team of engineers, research scientists and entrepreneurs is rethinking AI at a system level to make cutting-edge models faster, greener and more affordable across domains ranging from large language models to computer vision and time-series forecasting.
