London, UK – 13 January 2026 – Anne Glover, Co-Founder and Chief Executive of Amadeus Capital Partners, has today been formally appointed as a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in recognition of her outstanding contributions to science, engineering and business in the United Kingdom.

This honour, which took place at a ceremony held today at Windsor Castle, celebrates a career spanning more than three decades, during which Dame Anne has helped transform the UK’s technology investment landscape. Combining her scientific and engineering expertise with strategic leadership, she has championed the growth of high-potential startups and ensured that British innovation scales globally.

As a former Chair of the trade bodies, The British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association and Invest Europe (one of only a few people who have chaired both), Dame Anne has been a leading advocate for mobilising long-term capital to support science and engineering-based businesses. Her influence has extended beyond venture capital; she currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of the Court of the Bank of England, is an external Investment Committee member for British International Investment and sits on the Investment Committee of the Yale Endowment. This reflects her deep commitment to the allocation of capital to innovative long-term productive assets.

Dame Anne’s career began in the late 1970s at Cummins, Inc., followed by roles at Bain & Co and Apax Partners, before becoming COO of pioneering IT firm Virtuality. In 1997, she co-founded Amadeus Capital Partners, which has since invested in more than 200 companies across deep tech, AI, cybersecurity and medical technology. She has also served on the boards of the UK Technology Strategy Board and the Prime Minister’s Council for Science and Technology, shaping policy and funding frameworks that underpin the UK’s innovation economy.

Dame Anne Glover, Co-Founder and CEO of Amadeus Capital Partners commented, “Receiving this honour is an enormous privilege, but it is also a recognition of the extraordinary talent and ambition within the UK’s innovation community. Our scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs are building solutions that will define the future, and I am proud to have played a part in creating an environment where they can thrive. At Amadeus, we remain committed to backing visionary founders and ensuring that Britain continues to lead in turning world-class research into global businesses.”
