Amadeus Capital Partners today announced that Craig Marshall, former CEO of OrganOx, has joined the firm as a Venture Partner, strengthening its support for founders building complex, science-led technology businesses.
As part of Amadeus’s wider organisation, Craig will collaborate with the early-stage investment team to identify and evaluate new opportunities while supporting portfolio companies as they scale, commercialise their technology, and build leadership teams capable of sustaining international growth.
Craig brings more than two decades of senior leadership experience across advanced engineering, medical technology, and healthcare innovation.
Most notably, during his tenure as CEO of OrganOx, backed by The Royal Society and Amadeus, Craig led the company through a transformative period, culminating in the successful commercialisation of its organ preservation technology and its acquisition by Terumo Corporation in a landmark $1.5 billion deal in October 2025. This milestone not only validated OrganOx’s groundbreaking technology but also demonstrated Craig’s ability to drive commercial success and create significant value for stakeholders.
Prior to OrganOx, Craig served as Managing Director of Siemens Magnet Technology, the award-winning business responsible for the development and manufacture of magnet systems for MRI scanners. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Oxford Instruments, Amersham Plc, and GE Healthcare, spanning operations, engineering, and commercial management within the in-vivo diagnostics and medical technology sectors. His leadership at these organisations exemplifies his ability to bridge cutting-edge science with commercial strategy, a skillset that will be invaluable to deep tech founders.
As an Amadeus Venture Partner, Craig will draw on his experience of managing and building commercially viable deep tech solutions globally to provide hands-on support to founders, particularly as they navigate product adoption, organisational scale-up, and entry into international markets.
Anne Glover, CEO and Co-Founder of Amadeus Capital Partners, commented: “Craig brings deep operational leadership experience and a first-hand insight into what it takes to build and grow ambitious technology businesses. His ability to drive extraordinary growth at OrganOx, a company we backed from its earliest stages, will make his advice extremely valuable to both our investment team and the founders we support across the portfolio.”
Craig Marshall added: “Amadeus has an exceptional reputation for backing pioneering technology companies and supporting them over the long term. I am excited to join the team as a Venture Partner and to work with founders as they scale impactful businesses in large, global markets.”
