Amadeus Capital Partners, the European technology investor, has made six internal promotions.

Simon Cornwell, a Venture Partner, who joined Amadeus in 2001 after a distinguished career in media businesses and consulting, moves to become a Partner and senior member of the investment team. Andrea Traversone, who joined Amadeus in 1998, and Barak Maoz, who joined in 2001, have both been promoted from Investment Managers to Partners.

Edward Snow and Jeppe Zink, both Associates, become Investment Managers. Edward joined Amadeus from Deutsche Bank in 2000 and Jeppe joined in 2003 after four years with Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and DB Venture Partners.

Shantanu Bhagwat, an Associate who joined Amadeus in 2001, becomes Business Development Partner (Asia) with responsibility for developing Amadeus’ network and generating value for the firm’s portfolio companies in the region. Shantanu began his career with SAIL, India’s largest integrated steel company, before serving with the Indian diplomatic service in Japan for four years before moving to the UK. 

Commenting upon the promotions, Amadeus’ CEO, Anne Glover, says: “All these people have contributed substantially to the twelve new investments we have made in the past three years and in helping our portfolio companies weather the downturn since 2000. I am delighted to be able to recognise their achievements and the whole team is looking forward to an active year in the technology arena in 2005.”
