Nicolas joined Amadeus in 2007, where he assesses investment opportunities for the Amadeus funds. Since joining the firm he has worked on a number of investments including Secerno, a database security company and Tobii, a leader in eye tracking systems, as well as on a number of portfolio companies including PacketFront, a pioneer in FTTH broadband networks. He is a board observer for Secerno and PacketFront.

Prior to joining Amadeus, Nicolas was engineering manager at Gemfire Corporation in Silicon Valley, a leader in optical communication. He was part of the pioneering team of Gemfire that received backing from Floyd Kvamme (Emeritus Partner at Kleiner Perkins) in 2002, and was instrumental in leading new product developments, which were key to the company's success. Nicolas started his career at DiCon Fiberoptics in Berkley, CA, as a design engineer.

Nicolas holds an MBA from INSEAD, an MSc in Optics from the Ecole Superieure d’Optique and an MSc in Applied Physics from Paris XI University.

A French native, Nicolas is fluent in French and English and speaks basic Spanish.
