Velocix

As more video content is distributed via the internet, the infrastructure must be expanded to manage the huge increase in traffic, while still providing a high level of service. Velocix helped content owners, carriers and ISPs to balance the competing needs of these challenges by providing a suite of peer-to-peer (P2P) traffic management tools that were leaders in the field. Velocix products and services allowed customers to achieve significant cost savings through the intelligent use and management of P2P traffic across their networks, without affecting the customer experience.

Amadeus first invested in the Series 'C' financing round in 2006, that included existing investors 3i, Pentech Ventures and the Cambridge Gateway Fund. In June 2009 Amadeus exited its position in Velocix when the company was sold to Alcatal/Lucent.
