Dublin-based Intune Networks has over ten years of experience building high-speed tuneable laser subsystems. This technology enables consumers to tune circuits on demand to receive triple play services such as HDTV, Internet, Peer-to-Peer and Voice Streams.

Amadeus believes that the core technology that Intune Networks has developed will prove disruptive in a large and fast-growing market.

Amadeus joined Balderton Capital and Spark Capital in funding Intune Networks in a €13 million (£8.9 million) Series A round of funding. The earlier development of the company was financed by angel investors, Enterprise Ireland and Bank of Scotland-Ireland. Simon Cornwell is a non-executive director of Intune and Bill Earner is an observer on the Board.
