Forth Dimension Displays Limited™ (ForthDD™) has headquarters in Dalgety Bay, Scotland and offices in San Francisco, USA. The company designs, develops and manufactures single chip microdisplays. These components have multiple applications in consumer entertainment, military, photography, medical and data storage segments, including: rear projection, high definition television; near-eye, immersive applications (training, simulation, medical); and advanced image processing and storage.

ForthDD™'s proprietary technology allows imaging to be performed temporally (Time Domain Imaging, TDI™) without subpixels or tilting micro-mirrors. TDI™ is extremely fast-switching and 100% digital, providing 24-bit full colour images capable of handling high-speed motion and without artefacts. ForthDD™'s single chip imagers are especially well-matched to the new solid state LED and laser diode light sources and provide very high native resolution: SXGA /720p and UXGA/1080p.

In September 2004 ForthDD (then called CRLO Displays Ltd) raised a Series ‘A’ financing round of $19 million led by Amadeus Capital Partners and Doughty Hanson.
