EnQii manages a digital out-of-home (DOOH) media network, which, due to leading-edge technology, provides the design, installation and operatation of large scale web-enabled digital signage networks. These networks range from large LED or plasma billboards, to smaller shelf-located screens in retail environments and doctors' surgeries. With over 100 customers in 14 countries, and offices in New York, Toronto, London, Hong Kong and Shanghai, EnQii is the only true global player in its market.
Amadeus was attracted to EnQii because of its innovative approach to DOOH services in a market worth $1.7 billion globally and growing some 40% per year. EnQii combines a powerful technology platform with a strong customer focus that is demonstrated in the relationships it has built with its retail and advertising network clients.
Amadeus was joined by Wellington Partners in an $18 million Series ‘B’ financing in August 2008, joining existing investor Ithmaar Bank. This round of investment will be used to accelerate EnQii’s growth. Jeppe Zink is a non-executive director on the EnQii Board.
