In October 2003, Axiom Systems, a leading provider of service delivery software for telecommunications, acquired Viewgate, an Internet Protocol (IP) service validation company. Privately held, Axiom is headquartered in Reading, UK, with a presence throughout Europe and the US.

Viewgate's primary product, the IP Validator solution, uniquely has the capability of providing visual proof of delivery of IP virtual private network (VPN) services through automated configuration and functional testing. This information allows service providers to efficiently and effectively trouble-shoot problems and thus establish trust with customers. Axiom was interested in IP Validator because it is a stand-alone product that complements its AXiOSS suite of products, allowing this suite to uniquely offer provisioning validation to existing customers.

Amadeus led the first round of financing for Viewgate and was a member of the syndicate providing a second round of $20 million in finance. Since the Axiom/Viewgate merger was a paper deal, Amadeus, along with its other venture capital partners, now hold their stake in the form of Axiom shares and has continued to support the company's expansion plans.
