In October 2003, Axiom Systems, a leading provider of service delivery software for telecommunications, acquired Viewgate, an Internet Protocol (IP) service validation company. Axiom was in turn acquired in April 2008 by Comptel Corporation, based in Finland.

Amadeus led the first round of financing for Viewgate and was a member of the syndicate providing a second round of $20 million. With the Axiom/Viewgate merger, Amadeus, along with its other venture capital partners, held their stake in the form of Axiom shares and continued to support the company's expansion plans.
